Tucson Tea Party
The Tucson Tea Party is happening across the street from me. For those of you who don’t know ,this is an anti-tax hike/bailout/government spending protest centered around sending tea bags to members of congress they feel are responsible and arranging “tea party” protests, all ala the Boston Tea Party. I don’t nessicarily agree with them, but I always support people excersing their right to protest.
Also, I appreciate that the Tucson group ditched the term “teabagging” from their protest materials. Maybe someone got online and found out that it’s slang for a sexual act.
