File that under “Things I Don’t Understand”
Since I joined tumblr I’ve spent a lot of time exploring, reading other blogs. One thing I’ve come across that I just can’t wrap my brain around are blogs that consist soely of reblogs from other blogs with snarky comments added. I can understanding reblogging once, maybe even twice a blog you find especially offensive, but creating an entire site? That’s like, “Look… I hate this person… look! Look! Look again! Look some more! Can you believe they’re … alive!?!”
Yes, I can because a lot of people are alive, but I don’t spend my whole life focusing on the people I claim not to like. See that “unfollow” icon on the upper right corner? You can use that to never see that person’s blog again.
And what gets me the most is these sites never seem to include any posts were the writers showcase a talent that proves their own worth as critics. I guess that might be the key. It’s just easier to criticize someone else anonymously then to put yourself out on a limb.
